Due to the situation affecting airports in the Loyalty Islands since 2 March, Aircalin is suspending the sale of flights operated by the domestic carrier Air Calédonie until 31 May 2026 inclusive.

If you hold an Aircalin ticket beginning with 063, departing from Noumea or connecting through Noumea, to these destinations, you may request:

• A POSTPONEMENT free of charge, with a possible fare adjustment if the original classes are unavailable.
• A REFUND at no extra cost through your original point of sale:
  • For tickets booked with Aircalin, you can request a cancellation by contacting us and then request a refund using this form
  • For bookings made through other points of sale, you can submit your request to your travel agent, who will apply these provisions.  

Flights between Noumea and Port Vila are not affected by this situation or these measures.

SITUATION IN THE MIDDLE EAST: INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS CONTINUE

Aircalin confirms that all its flights and international connections will continue as normal, including the route between Nouméa, Bangkok and Paris.
Given the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the airline wishes to reassure its passengers, partners and authorities that its flight plans were adjusted as a precautionary measure at the beginning of February. In accordance with international aviation safety recommendations, these flight plans will be adjusted whenever necessary and notifications will be sent in the event of changes to schedules or routes.
Flights operated on this route currently follow a secure itinerary, widely used by international airlines, including overflights of parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan. These flight paths are subject to continuous monitoring and ongoing assessment in coordination with civil aviation authorities and international air traffic control organisations.

However, the Gulf airlines (Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways) are operating on a very irregular basis. As a result, Aircalin is introducing special commercial measures until further notice:
•    Aircalin tickets beginning with 063 that include at least one Gulf carrier in the itinerary: free changes if the new flight is booked within the next 72 hours, with priority given to Aircalin routes. Beyond 72 hours, the original ticket conditions apply.
•    Aircalin tickets beginning with 063 with no Gulf carrier on the itinerary: the original ticket conditions apply.

Tickets from other airlines not beginning with 063 are not covered by these special Aircalin measures.
The Aircalin teams are available to assist anyone affected or stranded as a result of flight cancellations with any additional travel arrangements.
